Skills and Qualifications:

1. Mechanical Knowledge:

– Solid understanding of vehicle parts and components, especially those used in logging and trucking equipment.

– Ability to identify parts and understand their function and compatibility.

2. Organizational Skills:

– Strong organizational abilities to manage inventory efficiently.

– Ability to maintain accurate records of parts, orders, and supplier details.

3. Communication Skills:

– Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with suppliers and internal teams.

– Ability to negotiate pricing and terms with suppliers.

4. Technical Proficiency:

– Proficiency in using parts lookup systems and inventory management software.

– Strong web search skills to find parts and supplier information online.

5. Attention to Detail:

– High level of accuracy in ordering parts and maintaining inventory.

– Ability to spot discrepancies and address them promptly.

6. Problem-Solving Abilities:

– Strong problem-solving skills to address supply chain issues, find alternative solutions when needed.

– Ability to handle urgent part requests and manage priorities effectively.

Experience:

1. Relevant Experience:

– Previous experience in a similar role within the automotive, trucking, or logging industry.

– Proven track record of managing parts procurement and supplier relationships.

2. Vendor Management:

– Experience in building and maintaining relationships with parts suppliers.

– Knowledge of evaluating suppliers based on quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.

– Dependable and able to work independently with minimal supervision.

– Strong work ethic and commitment to meeting deadlines.

2. Flexibility:

– Willingness to adapt to changing needs and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Education:

1. High School Diploma or Equivalent:

– A high school diploma or equivalent is typically required.

2. Additional Training:

– Vocational training or certification in automotive technology or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.

Additional Requirements:

1. Driver’s License:

– Valid driver’s license, as the role may require travel to pick up parts or visit suppliers.

2. Physical Stamina:

– Ability to lift and move heavy parts as needed.

Compensation:

-Wages will reflect your qualifications and experience. We offer competitive pay and benefits to the right candidate.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Casual

Pay: $36,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
